1) Go to google.com
2) Find the white box (the address bar) in the light tan or gray area near the top of the page, move your cursor into it, and left click your mouse
3) Type in anything you want with NO spaces AND put a .com on the end (or .net or .org, etc) - this is known as a domain name
4) check the box to make sure what you typed is there and hit "ENTER" on your keyboard - this is known as searching the Net by name (or domain)
5) If you don't like the results, repeat steps 2 through 4 using different words and/or a different ending in step 3 (note: you can also skip step 1 the first time you do this)
FOR EXAMPLE - If you wanted to find info on "jelly beans", you could type the following domain names - one at a time - into the box: jellybeans.com, jellybean.com, candy.com, jellybeans.net, jellybeans.org, sweets.com, etc.
You can also search sites such as onelook.com and wikipedia.org for information on what you're looking for (we've provided links to these in the navigation bar on the left).
DO NOT USE THE BOX UNDER THE GOOGLE LOGO - they use this box to collect information about you and then GIVE IT TO THE US GOVERNMENT! And, THEY MAKE MONEY OFF YOU WITHOUT GIVING YOU A CENT!
